We do individual ones for families that cannot make the group one. Our group one involves a family potluck and also invite liaisons to meet their families. Usually this is on a Saturday air Sunday.

we do much the same as you describe but also schedule a volunteer to be available to answer questions while the students are attending the arrival orientation.

We provide a folder at the orientation with our stuff: calendar, chapter information, some handouts (tips and tricks) and the interview. Our orientation covers all that.
